I wonder if anybody can spare me some time..?
The Mini is up for sale and I think an S2000 is the likely replacement. I drove a brand new one last week and have wanted one since.
I think I will have between 15 and 17k to spend in Feb and wouldlike some advice if possible.
I see that the facelift model was introduced in 2004 - looks nice. Were there any engine changes?
It looks like a 2004 with 40k on the clock is in my price range....?
Is the hard top worth looking out for?

Any advice or suggestions welcome
Thanks
Ben

Thanks for all the advice. I think I will try and stretch for an 2004 or 2005, will get it in February all being well. Gives me a few months to check the market.
Mini Cooper s has almost gone now so the space in the garage is waiting.
The S2000 has no problems as far as Top Gear and other surveys go which is good enough with me. I will watch the forums...
Thanks again

However your older now & might be planning on kids in the near ish future so perhaps a thought to practicality is needed?

Yer, I'm setting a quote now from A Plan.
Tesco have been the best yet. I have looked at this pay as you drive insurance too, that worked out more expensive..
I refuse to pay over £800 for the 3 months driving I do each year!

Compare.Com came up with:
Broker King (never heard of them) at £888
Endsleigh at £945
NU Pay as you drive - £875
Direct Line have just come in at £762 - £107 to protect the NCB!
Tesco is winning at £717

All with an Excess of £500

Still waiting for A Plan and Elephatn.

It aint cheap this car driving lark...
