Just came back from the hoon! To all of you who didn't make it.... you really missed something!!!!
...like lots of rain? wink

I'm sorry for not making it, but when I got up Saturday morning, it was raining like mad and continued to do so until sometime after lunch. Weather forecast and the rain-radar showed it wasn't much better 150km further south in the alps. As much as I would have loved to join and at least catch you guys somewhere on the way, rainy conditions, wet roads and semi-slicks don't mix well.

Glad to hear you had a great time though. Hopefully that's a sign that there will be another hoon soon, hopefully with good weather to match it.

Nope, we really were back arround 4. We all had very fast cars, didn't we ;-)
You drove so fast you didn't have time to take some photos biggrin

You also picked the best moment, as today several passes have snow!

Yes, I was thinking of taking a day off this week to do the passes in South East Switzerland / Italy (mainly after being so fed up of missing the run). Anyway, also saw the weather and decided that it was time to put the car under its cover and on the charger after a (last for the year?) run into the Black Forest yesterday.

Here's the current Stelvio webcam...

Good evening to all.

I have just arrived back in Frankfurt after the 'ring yesterday.

Darren will be able to post the photos up in a couple of days when he gets back home. The weather was kind to us in the end after doppio and his friends left us after the Klausenpass although we did manage the Furka, Gottard, Nufenenpass and Grimsal without rain.

We managed to retrace our steps along the Klausen, Susten and Grimsal in the most glorious of weather.

Had a great day out and I will put together a day to celebrate the opening of the passes in June all being well.

Thanks again for letting our friends pick and chose between rides.

Photos and videos to follow.

Hi guys!

It was great to meet you all on this fantastic meet!
It's the first time I've ever driven in Switzerland or the Alps, and it was amazing, even despite the weather!

My friends had a superb time, and they are very thankful to everyone who let them take passenger rides in their cars thumbup

Thank you Pete for organising this, and thanks to everyone who turned out biggrin

I've now posted up photos of the day on Facebook, although I'm yet to sort through the decent videos. I won't be posting these online, although I'll try to write a CD or DVD and get it sent to you Marc, via my brother.

The photos are mixed in with photos of the whole trip, so feel free to have a browse through the lot biggrin
Part 1 contains all the photos from the the Run, with the other two Parts contain the photos from the rest of the trip smile

DARREN'S PHOTOS PART 2
DARREN'S PHOTOS PART 3

I'll contact my friends and post up links to their photos soon.
Many thanks to everyone for making an excellent and memorable day - we'll have to do it again in the Summer drivingthumbup

Many thanks, Darren, for those fantastick pics :-))), it was especially nice to see the
GR-registered TVR ;-) as we are in the same canton :-))

At least I could think of you all having fun despite the weather in CH, when listening
to the whining driller of the dentist ;-)

(I never fill up at the Nue-Ring petrol-stations it is a rip-off but so convenient ;-), a
few miles further it is less pricey and they have a car-wash, where you can see prototypes...)

Also thanks for the pics. Seems you guys enjoyed yourselves. Perhaps I'll make it next time, now that my engine is back together...
Keep it shiny side up guys...
