Hi guys and gals, just had a funny experience...
Stopped leaving CH on the Basel-Karlsruhe Autobahn (yesterday Sunday) border by the swiss. Apparently there is an APNR between the Schwarzwaldtunnel (under Basel Badische Bahnhof) and the border. They had my numberplate listed for 5 YEARS!!! for a blitzer on the Basel Stadtautobahn in 2004!!!!!! Naturally I paid the 120,-SFR (as it was that, or they'd hold me until I could appear in court on Tuesday or Wednesday!) but it took the twunts almost an hour to get the computers fired up to print me a receipt!
AND they told me to keep the receipt in the car as their paperwork may take up to 6 months to get updated... so much for Swiss efficiency!!
I can be fecked around for an hour for a 5 year old fine (of which I had no knowledge) and can expect to get fecked around at the border for the next 6 months becaue they so foo kin lazy!!!!

Hmmmm, seems the men in blue (or other colours) have memories, even long ones! Keep smiling smile
No probs with the fine! I asked the Grenzer why it was still on the books after all that time, "we NEVER let a fine run out with foreigners"!! Questionable in my mind as they do run out for Swiss IMHO!

Interesting. Touch wood, but I have been across that crossing many a time in the past 4 years and have not had anything said to me. I know to have been flashed a couple of times too. I think that I'll stick to using the smaller boarder crossing until the new car arrives.
The ANPR seems to be fairly new! At least the grenzer implied that!
