MRG Volvo Charity Track Day & Enthusiast Meet 21-22 June
Discussion
For the 5th year running, MRG Volvo Chippenham are sponsoring a Charity Event, in the form of a track day at Castle Combe circuit on 21st June, and an open day at their premises in Chippenham on Saturday 22nd June.
Admission to both events is free and this year, we will be very honoured to host a group of our service men and women from Mission Motorsport at the circuit on 21st June. Mission Motorsport is also the nominated charity for all funds raised over the course of both days’ events. We will also be privileged to have the support of representatives from Volvo Car Corporation, Volvo Car (UK) Ltd and Polestar (Volvo’s in-house tuning division), and hospitality for invited guests is kindly being sponsored by Shark Performance.
We will have a wide range of cars heading out on the circuit, offering passenger laps, which include both standard and modified road cars, and several race cars including a Britcar, VW Beetle Cup Car and a classic 2CV competition car.
More information on both events can be found via the following link:

Can people sign up for the trackday and bring their own cars, I would love to take part and more than happy to never have an empty passenger seat.
There may well be some places up for grabs and the offer of passenger laps will be very much appreciated by the guys and girls from Mission Motorsport I'm sure! Well what a great day. One of the friendliest track day experiences I have ever had. Great organisation and many thanks to the organisers for this. Had to cut my driving after the first go of the afternoon session as a power steering hose split and resulted in a 5 hour AA relay on 2 different trucks home. Even this did not diminish the day.
Looking forward to next year if there are spaces for non Volvo owners.

Nice to meet you and the other guys Rex, real shame about the E36, when it was going, it looked a properly sorted track machine.
It was a great day, thanks to Ashok and the MRG for organising - really nice meeting all the Mission Motorsport chaps too.
I might take something a bit more track focused next year.

I came up with a couple of friends for the first time, really good day, and was nice to be able to chat to people who are surprisingly accommodating of a random teenager asking a) about the car and b) whether they have a passenger seat spare. Definitely coming next time, and again, thanks to the organisers, and everyone else for being good enough to share the time and experience.

Arrrr were you the chap who I spoke to at the end of the day about Brooklands? Many thanks guys for attending the event and I'm glad you all enjoyed yourselves - feedback from the Mission Motorsports guys is they had a thoroughly good time and want to do it again!! The weather really was glorious and everyone seems to have had a lot of fun so roll on 2014!!
I will certainly post up once I start planning next year's event(s) in earnest and it will be great to see you guys again, and hopefully you can bring more friends along too, to have a blast around Combe and support next years' nominated charity!
