Greenlight also offer trackday cover for £45 a day assuming you have road cover with them.
Is that what they charge you for your Caterham (checked your profile)? If so, that sounds excellent value!Thanks for the additional info and numbers, I will get more companies on here when I have more time, I promise!
Just a quick note to say I was reading this thread to find a provider - but turns out my current TVR insurer Classic Line (they do other cars!) - http://www.classiclineinsurance.co.uk/ - also cover me for Track Days - it says TVR Car Club events but I rang up and I am doing a MSVT http://www.msvtrackdays.com/ @ Brands and they covered that for free as well.
So I went for Sky since they seem to be easy to deal with - I hate having to pre-register just to get a quote or read the fine print, and on their website the whole transaction was simple and took 3 minutes. (no connection to them-just sayin')
Anyway, 85 quid for a day at Castle Combe isn't bad I suppose, 750 excess on a 1,850 car is kinda daft ratio, but since it's my first excursion off-road since back in the UK, I figured it might be worth it. As always, one hopes never to actually have to use it..... but you never know who else is on the track or who or what might hit you after something breaks.... {*___*}

I've got two cars insured through Greenlight. The track cover on my policy isn't £45/day. On one of the policies it's more, and the other it's less. It depends on which policy/underwriter you're insured with. Phateuk said:
I just got a quote from sky - £220 for my m135i
I'll just carry on "risking it" I think..
£306 from Competition Car Insurance! I'll be going with £194 from Sky as I can't afford to risk it.... Especially as I am sharing the driving (and therefore the (bloody extortionate!) cost) with a mate.I'll just carry on "risking it" I think..
Sheesh. An expensive day this is turning out to be.....
