It's that time again - Charity Track Day 3 Sept 2006
Discussion
I have been asked to run the annual Charity track day event at Bruntingthorpe in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief again.
The event is part of the Travis Perkins Driver of the Year Final event at Brunthingthorpe on Sunday 3rd September 2006.
The cost for the day will be £65.00 per car and one driver. The event will be open to all comers and split into sessions by ability. If possible we will have open pits. There is a noise restriction at Bruntingthorpe of 97Db. The price includes refreshments throughout the day. You will be free to take part in other events available on the day (4x4 off roading, Subaru simulator car, driving an articulated truck around the main circuit, etc.) If you wish to offer passenger rides, these will be sold on the day (not compulsory). H&S is paramount & day will be professionally run. ALL MONIES RAISED WILL GO TO CHARITY
The spirit of this event is for a bunch of like minded pistonheads to have a fun, low cost track day whilst raising a bit of cash for charity and a good old gossip. It is not competitive or aggressive and novice trackdayers will be welcome. If you are interested or want any further details, please drop me an email or look at the link for last years event: www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?p=1&f=18&t=149579&h=0&hw=bruntingthorpe+charity+event++2005
Thanks for your support and we look forward to seeing you there.

This is always an excellent day, for a very worthy cause, so i can highly recommend it. I've been on the last 2 of these events, and always enjoyed myself. Unfortunately i won't be able to make this years event though
as i'll be in the US, i was really looking forward to it as well, oh well, hopefully next year! I hope you all enjoy the day, and have a great time, and i look forward to seeing all the photos when i get back

You'll be missed!!!!!!
No problems if you want to pay on the day. Just make sure you confirm to me that you will definately attend as we need to control the numbers on track.
Cheers

Hi lovely Amanda,
Is it that time of year again? I'd love to come again but ironically I have a ferry booked on my return from Croatia at 22.40 on September 3rd.
However, I'm fairly flexible so may make it at the last moment if that's OK with you. Either way, I'll let you have some cash for the Charity.

Everyone is welcome to do the track day or the passenger laps.
We usually limit the passenger laps to an outer, a fast one and an inner for £10.
It is very, very informal (although strictly marshalled) and friendly. If anyone wants more details, please mail me.
All your support is very welcome and the buzz of doing passenger rides is fantastic...highly recommended!!!

It was a top day last year, so highly recommended!
I couldn't understand why there were few takers for rides in a 17 year old french hatchback when there were Ultimas, Vipers, TVR's, etc.; but there's no accounting for taste.
When do you need to know fr definite Amanda? I come back from holiday the day before, but can't remember what time or whether I'll be able to get it past the boss (not the work one).
Mark.

We aim to kick off around 08:30ish (for the briefings).
Love to see you there again.
