I ONLY WANT SOME TYRES F.F.S.
Discussion
I am going mad trying to source some good road legal track day tyres for my Cerbera. Have been using Dunlop SSR's for the last year, they are superb but are now discontinued!
Second choice is Michelin Pilot Sport Cup, but research has indicated there not available until Spring, but my ideal sizes are'nt really an option!
Dunlop have suggested the D01J, but it looks a bit severe, & will be very noisey for road use, i still want to use the car for Sundays!
My research has suggested the Hankook rs2, or the Kumho V70A, what do you guys reckon, i really am in the dark now.
Many thanks for your help with this one, now that i have tasted 'trackday' rubber, i cant go backwards, i'm sure you know what i mean
I am running on 18" wheels by the way!

Thanks guys, really useful.
Toyo r888's, not available in my sizes til next year!
Yokohama AO48R's look good, sizes pretty much ok, but rears are £190 + vat & fitting!
Sizes are proving to be the issue, realistically, i cant go any bigger than 225x40 front, & 255x35 rear. The problem also is that the quoted size often differs from the actual inflated dimension, so i face the possibility of wheel arch catching the tyre edge, ( a 265x35x18 Yoko AO48 tyre is 272mm wide, & there aint much space in my wheel arch!)
Boy does this get confusing.
What is the consensus on AO48R's then?
Cheers again chaps

Guys, i'm now sorted thanks very much. Washy has very kindly done me a deal on his part worn Michelins, this should see me through next season, but be prepared for my dilema returning in a years time , that is unless the major manufacturers realize that there is a market for 18" road legal track tyres !
Many thanks to all on here, a particularly constructive thread from my point of view

From my research i'm not sure that Pirelli do a road legal track tyre, is this not the case?
