Track day for experienced drivers

Speed and expertise expected at Brands

Brands Hatch
Brands Hatch
MotorSport Vision is to hold a set of track days for experienced track day drivers, the first taking place next month.

They'll be open pit lane with a maximum of 22 cars on-circuit, organiser Alex Baker said he hoped "it should prove to be a really good day for those who want to be out on circuit with others of a similar ability and speed. The limitations on numbers should ensure that there is no crowding on circuit and also guarantee that everyone gets as much circuit time as possible.

"It is made clear on our Web site that novices should not book onto this event as a higher standard of track driving ability will be expected."

Where: Brands Hatch (indy)

When: 11th December

Price: £169

This will appear to a few egos, but I'm not sure it will improve the quality of the driving on track. Experienced doesn't necessarily mean good and very often the incidents on track are from those drivers who over-estimate their abilities.
