360 at the Nurburgring

Hello

I have just bought a half share in a 360 with a friend to be used mainly for trackdays and some fun road miles. He picked it up on the weekend and I went for my first drive today - what a great car. We are planning to do a "shake down" trip or track day this month and perhaps a few sensible mods before our first trip to the Ring next month. The main use for the car will be driving to and from the Ring and track time once there.

Does anyone have experience of driving a 360 at the Ring or sensible mods for track days? We have both previously tracked M3s/911s so any information would be helpful.

Hi. Thanks for the suggestions guys. We have both done 40-50 laps at the Ring so while not experienced hands we know which way the circuit goes and a few of the danger spots.

Cage definitely makes sense, what do you guys suggest for a brake upgrade? Just pads or full brake system?

Video would be very interesting.

Looks like our first trip is booked but not until the weekend of 18 August. Plan to go out Friday, return Tuesday. Looking forward to it.

Insurance etc is all sorted, we plan to drive the car there and back as that is part of the fun. Interesting to hear that people think a 360 is a strange choice for a track day car - we picked this one up at a very reasonable price and it drives and handles beautifully. It will be interesting to see how it stands up to the mileage.

Thanks for the tip re brakes, will probably finish off the curent pads and disks before going for an upgrade.

Budget wouldn't stretch to a CS so we went for a standard 360 - lots more choice too. I was not convinced that the premium was worth it from a driving and performance point of view. Pound for pound I think it was a good buy and it meant I didn't have to sell the house.

Anyone going to the ring w/e of 19 August come and say hello - we will be in the titanium coloured 360.
