I am conisdering those 2 car... which would be better out of box ?

I had 2 of them each in past, here is my expernices. both are 1.6

UK spec mx-5:-
too soft suspesion especailly in rear,
no lsd or vlsd
cheaper insurance.
cloth seat = i wouldnt feel guilty throwing those seat for bucket seat.

euno roadster:-
blisten shocks which is very firm ride
has vlsd or lsd.
higher spec, i.e leather seats, etc, i would feel gulity throwing the leather seat out of the car.
Chassis bracing, struct tower and rear diff brace.

Which would be better track car out of box ?

Not ideal basis for track day car?

I race a MK1 1.6 MX5 and think its a great car for the track. Even better, if you want to learn how to set a car up properly (by adjusting the caster, camber, toe), they are easily done by the home mechanic without any expensive outlay. I would recommend adjustable shocks and new bushes (polybushes) as upgrades but you don't really need anything else to have fun.

To answer your question, I would say the Eunos. One thing I thought was missing from your list was condition of either vehicle (to be precise, rust). The Eunos should be the least rusty as this has spent the first 10 years or so in Japan, before being imported.

Don't feel guilty getting rid of the leather seats - put them on Ebay and let someone else have the benefit..!!

Good idea is to look out for a race seat that's out of date - no good for the race track but ideal for a track day - some may have hardly been used.

After all this, its still a car you can use everyday.

Which year are they? IIRC the post 1994 1.6 are detuned to 95bhp (from 115). The Eunos certainly sounds more tempting with the LSD but I'm not really an expert so that's just my opinion. The other difference between the 2 is that early Eunos's don't have a catalytic converter, maybe that will influence your decision?
