daily 50 mile commute

I did do my personal commute every day for 2 months.
I left home at 7:50 and got home at no later than 6:45 apart from the one time there was an accident.

I completely get what you are saying and it does depend on the route you are doing. Mine is J13 to J17 on the M4 so opposite flow of usual traffic.
My new commute is J13 to London twice a week so we'll see how that goes.
