First trip offshore - what do i take

Never been offshore, but have spent time in windy, went environments. Take moisturiser and lip balm - you'll be really grateful for it - definitely worth the £10 it will cost.
Take a decent book just in case. Ipad is great, but can go wrong/go flat and the chargers can break.

Small reading lamp
Kindle fire / laptop
Travel kettle and coffee flask that makes decent coffee in 1. (The gig only supply shoddy instant crap)
Ground coffee (obviously)
Chocolate digestives or something similar as an eveinng treat every now and again. This can help, belive me.
Hdmi cable to hook up a laptop to the tv in my room (not sure if the boats have Tv's in the rooms though)

Thanks guys, like you say, sure i will figure it out after first trip but just wanted to make sure i had the important items.
I'm hoping the other guys boarding the chopper will keep me right, been over a year since done survival so trying to run through my head about survival suit and EBS to ensure i don't look all fingers and toes when i'm getting sorted.
Any other info or advice regarding heliport, chopper, on the rig etc will be greatly appreciated. Just been on phone to agency and they have informed me that my PPE will be at hotel room for me, still waiting on where i'm staying, contract etc. Have read to be at heliport earlier on first trip to get vantage card sorted.
Will train ticket be supplied or is it a case of pay yourself and claim it back? Have been told all rail travel and hotel costs are covered by them.

Firstly, congrats on getting a start in the current climate!
Assuming you know which vessel you are going out to, I am sure there will be someone on here that will have experience of ot it and will be able to advise you more specifically on useful things to take.

Thanks Shuvi, it's an Adhoc role but for 6 months which i've been informed is a long stint for Adhoc.
Fingers crossed it leads to something further down the line, have left a fulltime position onshore that i've been in for 10 years. Couldn't pass up the opportunity for this valuable experience offshore though.
