Hi

Erm, I don't really have a CV because I've never had a job except for work experience which was archiving... Anyway, I've decided to stop being lazy and get a job. So I'm on the Hampshire/Surrey border (and can easily get a train to Guildford), and will do most things I'm asked to do (as long as it doesn't involve animals) and can do most evenings and Saturdays, and Friday nights if I have to. Pretty much open-minded as to what I'll take, so offers anyone?

Thanks

Sharief

Sorry, cant give you any work but got a few ideas that may be useful.

Hairdressers / barbers always need people to make tea etc.

Bar work. Whilst you're too young to work in a proper bar, caterers always need bar people for functions.

Paper round, although the money isnt too good and its generally for younger kids.

Estate Agents. Some will need people to do various things, especially at weekends as often that is when they are busiest.

Most shops take on assistants from about age 16 so im sure if you ask around.

Hope that was vaguely helpful

Haven't thought of the hairdressers or estate agents so I guess they could be my next port of call. At the moment I'm getting up to be at school at 730 and getting home around 6 because I have so much school work to do so a paper round is not really for me. Shops all say they don't need anyone, so I'm a bit stuck. Applied to a restaurant bar place twice but they're just not replying.

Thanks though

I use to start the paper round at 7:00am. You will probably have to work weekends if time is an issue.

Used to live in your area, I worked at Homebase in Camberley and they are usually looking for people.
They like people who can do evenings and at least one day over the weekend.

See if there are any companies who put up marquees in your area, good work outside during the summer. If your fit that is.

Gardening.

Friends of family is always a good place to start and if you find some old people who have their own tools/mower you'll be laughing.

Use a push bike to get there, do an hours work then sit eating scones and biscuits for half an hour afterwards while talking nicely to them before getting paid for two hours work.

Worked a treat for me between the ages of 16 and 19 !

You should be able to get at least £6-£7 per hour for it which, is higher than the minimum wage you'd get elsewhere.
