A month ago I went to an interview and was told immediately I had a second interview. During the interview I talked about how as the company was moving from a small to medium enterprise they needed a half and half tactical/strategic person in the role and that was me. I didn’t get to have a second interview however, as they redesigned the role and I did not get an interview.

So as you can imagine I have even less confidence in recruitment agents as during the delay the agent was saying there was no issues.

I am now in a situation for a job where it is the perfect job for me. I have got a second interview. The Senior recruitment agent went on holiday and the intern manage to fluff the second interview. I was then told it was rearranged for end of July, and I am now being told the interview is in August. Every time I phone up, I am told by the recruitment agent that ‘companies should understand if the delay means they lose candidates’.

How do you go about finding out the truth and keeping the recruitment consultant on side as well?

It feels like that Hoolio

But what I don't understand is the 'Companies will lose candidates' Conversation which happens every time I ring up.

P.s. I am only ringing once a week, I am not totally hassling them.

So is there a way to get to the truth? Without totally pissing off the recruitment consultant?

Just to let you all know. The company finally came back and straight after the second interview I got a job offer which I have taken.

So great for me to hang in there!
