Right then smile

I have an interview with the largest construction firm in the UK next month and I need a new suit.

Personally I feel that black suits should only be worn at funerals or dinner parties so I was going to go with a light/medium grey affair.

Thoughts?

Shirt colour of choice would be white with a red 'slim' tie and of course a black pair of shoes.

The job is office/site based with lots of client liasing.

Am I mad?

Balfour Beatty, Carillion or Laing's?

I work in construction, love the industry smile

Suit wise, as above really, a dark suit, keep it simple and fairly plain. You don't want to end up looking like a sales rep.
Based upon overall turnover.

I too, love the industry. Aim to work abroad one day in the not too distant future.

Darker suit it is then. I may have to reconsider the tie, black or blue plain being more sensible options.

Still, keep the opinions coming.

I intended to update this thread once I got the job but now is as good a time as any I guess.

I went for a mid grey suit, lovely white shirt and a grey tie. I actually thought the tie was black in the shop but once home I realised it wasn't.

Interview went well and I shall hear back in another week or so.

Happy Days.

Thought I would update this.

I was unsuccesful for this position, competition was strong though I feel I performed well.

But who cares!

I've just listened to a voicemail from another firm offering an even better position!

Yippe Kay Yay!

Thanks for the advice guys. smile
