They wont be able to. As said, leasing companies claim the VAT back on the purchase price as well.

http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/vitmanual/VIT53300....

This instantly makes the car 20% cheaper for them, as well as the 18% or so they can get off BMW themselves.

Leasing companies can claim all of the VAT charged when they buy cars that will be used exclusively for business purposes, for example when the car is to be leased at a commercial rate.
A leasing company is using the car exclusively for business use - they are offering it as a business related service to someone else.

Deposit down, acceptable p/x price for the 335d, waiting to here on a delivery date - WOO HOO!!

Grey, red leather, business nav, mid range hifi, heated seats, comfort pack, black panel display, 5 door auto.

My local dealer matched a pretty amazing deal from the legendary TRL (who is VERY good) and Sytner Notts (who were also VERY good). If anyone wants a good contact up North or in the SE, shout - both are highly recommended. The guy down here (Cornwall) has been very good too -I've got about £6k off list.

My local dealership couldn't beat the 330d price, but they do act as the supplying dealership for a number of lease brokers, so they can potentially sort out the deal with the broker and supply the car as if you'd purchased it from them.

yikes

Hope these deals are still around after christmas which is when I'm looking to change. Having never leased before, do you have to wait for these to be built like when getting from BMW, or do they have the cars in stock ready to go?
They are built to spec, so 6 weeks ive been quoted.

Imho the deals are available now as its Q4 for BMW UK, therefore massive discounts are available to get the numbers in. The leasing company's can get the same -18% discount on the M135i as we can, but then they can reclaim the VAT as well. Naturally as a private leaser we would have to add the VAT back on, but it still makes for an epic deal.

Will these offers be available in January? Not a chance i dont think.
I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed then, having changed jobs recently I don't really want to be getting tied into finance until I'm out of the probationary period and get a decent notice period just in case getmecoat

Some say it's best to get an upgraded hifi (I've gone for the mid range one) but I'm sure the standard one is fine.
Other than that, pull that trigger now - I just have (except not on a lease)!!

Spec for spec, the leasing is about £30ish cheaper a month I reckon. On a business lease the leasee can get half the vat back too.

It's difficult to compare as my car has a higher spec than that. There's only one way to find out. Contact TRL for a quote...

Seems as good as any I've seen. I just can't make the numbers work for us on lease or finance so buying outright.

Looks like metallic paint only adds around £8 a month to the G2L deal, comfort pack adds £16. Currently weighing up how often I actually use cruise control. hehe

Only £25 difference between comfort pack (sensors and cruise) and just sensors!

Nice one Vlad, you won't regret waiting a bit to get your ideal spec.

Mine arrived last week via TRL who's dealership has excellent customer service.

Mine is 5 door, estoril, auto, black panel, comfort, heated seats and Harmon Karden stereo (which is good).

I was quoted approx £380 per month inc VAT with £2000 deposit. 4 year term and 8000 miles per year. I know there was a bit more room for negotiation on the deposit but we're talking a couple of hundred. I think the balloon was £13000 ish.

In the end I went for a cash deal as I'll likely keep it beyond the 4 year term and it works out cheaper this way.

I really like the car, it's a bit ugly and it's not a pucka 'M car' but it does the day to day stuff well and can be relaxing to drive as well as rapid when you want it to be. The level of performance is great for the price point.

Just my 2p.

If you don't opt for business or pro media options, what exactly do you get from the idrive on these? Is there any nav at all?

Also, all the journos seem to rave about the adaptive suspension but I'm not sure if it will be a bit of a non-essential gimic.

How would the standard suspension compare to a Z4si coupe, as long as it's not much harder than that I'd be happy without an option for extra comfort.

My ideal spec I think would be;
Auto, white, red leather, driver comfort, heated front seats. I'm unsure over a media pack, and adaptive suspension read

Spoke to the missus about this lease deal last night and she was sceptical (due to the fact I'm on a work contract until July next year so maybe not the best idea to get involved in a finance deal like this - especially if in July I end up having to commute to a new job in London via train @ £220 per month).

Anyway...

I contacted G2L and they are flexible on payment terms if you want to pay more up front to lower the monthlies, plus at the end of the 24 months you can either hand the car back, re-finance for one more year or buy the car at the end of the lease based on a valuation at the time.

Another conversation with the missus tonight then!!

Ahhhhh I need help in deciding.

I've been all set to make a move on a £7k 130i, but now I've seen this deal.

I've got a loan of £7k for the car, which will cost me £400 in interest over the 3 years I've got it for. but then I have to pay Road fund licence, service it, buy tyres, then there's the deprecation.

Roughly how much more would the M135i cost over 2 years on the Deal mentioned on the previous page? 6+23? I worked it out at around £2.7k over 2 years more which just seems hard to turn down to drive a car such as the M135i?

Phaetek; adaptive suspension was on my list but the demo we tried didn't have it but rode really well. It sounds like many just leave it in middle mode anyway. Also tricky if you want to mod the suspension later on. Might not be correct but I took it off the list.

With no nav you still get idrive with Bluetooth and some other bits. I went for business nav; having tried Pro nav, I'm not sure it's worth double! It's very good but a bit techy.
