Less mass, a different brake servo and a shorter wheel base probably help greatly. It is wierd how some brakes work like chocolate on some cars yet put them on something else and they work brilliant.CRA1G said:

I believe the 4-pots were optional. As standard they had the same calipers as the e36 M3 Evo, hence why it's a popular upgrade as the piston dimensions equal out. Meaning brake balance isn't affected.
