Not ugly but yeh not a great looker I agree you are not going to say wow that’s £70k well spent specially with very limited colour and interior choices. Taking the mickeystill some people will still pay up. Wouldn’t buy on their finance rates !
I think it's a great looker. I will go out on a limb and say design tastes are subjective. As for colours if there is one you like then what's the problem.
Go on autotrader plenty of new M3/4’s with big discounts far better car and better colours and interiors !

True about the M3/M4 pricing but then those are stock models pre interior refresh which are still priced well above m2 entry levels. You cannot get an equivalent M3/M4 spec on the CLAR platform to what you get on the M2 stock. Carbon roof, HUD, upgraded sound systems, carbon interior etc. I like the looks, but then again I like the big grilles of the M3/M4 (they've grown on me, especially after seeing them in the flesh) so looks are v subjective!

I do take your word for it at being a far better car as I haven't had a chance to drive the new M2 yet although having ran a F82 M2 for 3 years I preferred it to its contemporary M3/M4, probably due to the shorter wheelbase. Besides, why not wait for used new M2s as they'll be cheap as chips surely.
As for colour, I don't know what ”better colours” are as it still totally subjective. I tend to only choose one in my cars and would be happy with the M2 in black or grey.

I don't understand some posters, if that's what you want go and buy one of those on Autotrader then....? You haven't driven the M2, your contribution is not relivent to the thread title....? Because you are NOT ordering an M2...? You don't like it or the colours, well that's fine,I don't particularly like EV,s but i don't bother wasting time posting on there fourms giving my opinion, Pointless.....? The majority of posters on here clearly do like the New M2 and have ordered it in the colour that suites them just as i have which is what the threads discussion is for.driving

Jesus Christ that's hard work to read with the author's various errors and intended use of high-rising intonation. 4/10, do better.

I agree. It is very odd, but still not that unusual on PH.

You fellas should try it, there’s nothing more fun than searching out a thread full of people excitedly discussing their potential new P&J, then tttishly pissing on their chips.

I try to do it most days, I think people welcome my views on whatever it is they’re buying.

I’m keeping my Comp, i don’t mind the new one but it’s not for me, the F87 for me is just about prefect, it’s off to Litchfield in April for suspension upgrades, to complement the power upgrades I had done last year. I have GR Yaris and an X5 being delivered anytime soon so I cannot justify another car at the moment…

I placed a deposit but pulled it as I didn’t like any of the colours offered, I was led to believe from one article that there would be a choice of around 30 heritage M colours - which would have sealed the deal.

As it was I got offered a 992T

I agree,I have the smaller screen in my G42 M240IXd and the New M2 is so much better and easier to use.

Anyone else’s car prone to really bad tramlining? On uneven or heavily-painted roads, mine wanders all over the place, to the extent I have to be really careful on narrowish country roads with oncoming traffic, when I wouldn’t normally think twice about passing them without slowing.

I’ve tried different tyre pressures, but no change (I’m on Pirellis frown). I’m seriously considering getting the geo checked.

That behavior is common with cars fitted with wide tires. Really became noticeable with my Boxster, Cayman S, and Porsche Turbo. The Turbo had 11" wide rear tires.

My M2 is no worse than my other cars in this regard.

Kind of funny but I was out last night in my M2 and on a 2 lane road and got a warning to "stay in lane". I said I'm trying I'm trying...

You can have the car in for an alignment check. When I first got the car and on the way home from the dealer -- 200 miles -- I felt the alignment might not be right.

Rather than have the car in right away -- I realized the problem might be with me and being unfamiliar with the car -- what I did was to drive several thousand miles and then see if the tire wear was ok or not. If not ok then alignment...

Just the other day had the car in at 5K miles for an oil/filter service and tire wear was even and showed no signs of abnormal wear which would not be the case if the alignment was out of spec.
