Anyone else’s car prone to really bad tramlining? On uneven or heavily-painted roads, mine wanders all over the place, to the extent I have to be really careful on narrowish country roads with oncoming traffic, when I wouldn’t normally think twice about passing them without slowing.

I’ve tried different tyre pressures, but no change (I’m on Pirellis frown). I’m seriously considering getting the geo checked.
That behavior is common with cars fitted with wide tires. Really became noticeable with my Boxster, Cayman S, and Porsche Turbo. The Turbo had 11" wide rear tires.

My M2 is no worse than my other cars in this regard.

Kind of funny but I was out last night in my M2 and on a 2 lane road and got a warning to "stay in lane". I said I'm trying I'm trying...

You can have the car in for an alignment check. When I first got the car and on the way home from the dealer -- 200 miles -- I felt the alignment might not be right.

Rather than have the car in right away -- I realized the problem might be with me and being unfamiliar with the car -- what I did was to drive several thousand miles and then see if the tire wear was ok or not. If not ok then alignment...

Just the other day had the car in at 5K miles for an oil/filter service and tire wear was even and showed no signs of abnormal wear which would not be the case if the alignment was out of spec.
My F82 M4 is terrible for tramlining and following the camber of the road as well. The steering wheel moves around in my hands loads on country roads. The 370Z isn't anywhere near as bad on the same roads though in comparison.

I had a deposit down but pulled it earlier this year when I decided to buy a project house that's committed all my funds including my M2 deposit... However I did have the dealership call me a couple weeks back saying they'd kept the car on order, hadn't been able to sell it and were willing to offer me a discount to take it up again. I had to resist but I've not ruled out getting into one once if APRs start coming down to more sensible levels again. Not seen one in the flesh yet tho!

Ha, I had similar, minus the project house.

For the last week bond markets have been behaving as-if interest rates are going to be higher for longer.

Having said that, as longer term fixed rates mature and have to be re-negotiated, the deflationary effect could be very substantial. We have yet to see the true effect of current interest rates ...

I've had mine a few months now and no noticeable tramlining along those types of roads but my car is on 4S's and also has spacers fitted so perhaps not a true comparison to yours. Make sure you turn off the lane assist thing every time you drive it (it can't be permanently disabled which is really irritating) as this could be giving a false impression.
My car is also on 963M wheels so also not great for a direct comparison.

Well, to be sure beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

I have a Zandvoort Blue example with a carbon fiber roof. I like the car's looks. And I'm *not* alone. Since buying the car April 14 this year the car has received the most favorable comments of any car I've owned. All favorable comments and not one unfavorable comment.

Besides favorable comments more than once I've caught sight of a driver or passenger in a nearby vehicle taking a pic of the car. Sure they might want it for their ugly car photo album but maybe not...

Nice to receive favorable comments but I don't need the comments to make me happy. As I said above I like the car and its looks.

I like the car and yet this is the only pic I have of the car...

Yes I reckon colour is one of those things that are entirely subjective, even on PH.

I have seen one locally and I quite like it. It wouldn't be my first choice but that's mostly because I am super conservative.

Oh I love my M2. Horsepower is good. Not as much HP as my 2020 Challenger Scat Pack -- which had 485hp -- but the M2 weighs in approx. 400lbs lighter. Scat Pack: 4200lbs. M2: 3800lbs.

The M2 is much better drive than the Scat Pack.

Having a bit of bad weather here. So the M2 has stayed in the garage the last couple of days. And probably will remain in the garage another day or so. I'm suffering M2 withdrawal pains...
