Picked up my 1m Coupe tonight - will post some more shots later. I got it from BMW Colne - they were great, car was delivered to them Friday afternoon and they turned it around for me so I could collect it that evening, thanks again Duncan.

Looks fantastic Duncan. Notice that it has the older style gear knob. Is that something you've retro fitted, or does the 1M come with it as standard?
looks exactly like the one fitted to the E92 M3 from here confused

Think the cabin needs a very slight 'lift'. May try to find an ali gear knob for mine.

Yep. I quite like the 'functional' look they've achieved but it's a bit odd the way they've done it (IMHO). I would have gone for the suede/alcantara/whatever it is on gearlever gaiter, doors AND wheel then left instument cowl standard and maybe put matt ali on that dash strip. Don't imagine any of that is that important once you're driving it though!

The rumour from within BMW is that ///M are in the process of creating a range of 1M specific 'owner custom' accessories along the lines of extra alcantara/carbon etc bits n bobs for exterior and interior.

laugh

They will probably even be some of the same bits as currently in the 1 Series BMWP range, just with a different ///M part number and a 35% price increase wink

I remember Ford doing that 30 years ago... and a small part for the RS2000 engine with the Rallye Sport 909**** prefix part number on it etc., was £9 and something..... but the IDENTICAL same part for a Cortina engine with a normal Ford part number on it was £2 and something rolleyes

be great if the 1M Safety Car parts eg front splitter and rear spoiler offered at a sensible price.

This is true, topping my current wish list are -

Genuine approved engine upgrade
Akrapovic
Colour coded Performance seats
Carbon bonnet (with/without vents)
Carbon rear valance
MASSIVE brakes

I'll be supprised if all these things aren't done.

What's it they say? Something about a fool and his money are easily parted!

Wise man, knows his weakness smile

Would a £60k GT3 make more sense?

Just seen this pic posted on 'babybmw' forum..... of 3 x AW 1M's at a dealership in Scotland.

AW must be popular north of the border!!!

Not for this purchase, I traded in my beloved (but unused) garage queen Z3M Coupe AND my daily drive 330d to buy this and hopefully have the best of both worlds.

Next purchase will be another garage queen, hmmmmm, could do a lot worse than a GT3!

One flaw with that arguement is he'll STILL want to go for bigger brakes, uprated exhuast and some other tasty bits so you're really just raising the £££ante!

Plus, having had a Gen1 997GT3 I'm going to risk betting that a nicely modded 1M will be snapping at the Porkers heels on track - which appeals to my sense of humour!

Oh and Breadvan - I agree your spec!

They (or exact copies) will be available - and the vented bonnet and Akropovic exhuast fitted to that car too.

Saw my first 1M in the flesh today, lurking behind the scenes at a dealer. All I can say is WOW! It looks so much better in the flesh, sensational. It was Valencia Orange and I wanted to change my order from AW there and then. What a colour.

That looks like a good representation, the very reason i changed from black.

So does anyone know if all the [450?] 1M production is sold already ? Or are there likely to be unsold cars which dealers are going to run as demos ?
