Apologies for the boring house keeping question - what is the easiest way of getting leaves, etc out of the bottom of the rad grille ?

I usually squirt a bit of 98 octane ( not 95) on leaves and then set them alight with long matches . Works a treat . smile hope that helps

Try MORE speed.

If that doesn't work, I suggest EVEN MORE speed.

Failing that, I suggest chopsticks.

If you're not proficient with far-east eating implements, these look like an interesting option: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281311937419

Failing THAT, perhaps introducing a liberal cup-full of caterpillars? laugh

It would be if it was an M5.

It's a 3 or 4 series looking at the idrive screen, most likely a diesel 330d/335d.

The AUC cars seem to be coming down in price - very tempting. I may just end up in one in a few months time. I aren't too fussed on spec, more so colour, though I am sure there are "must haves"?

Wacthing this too... i suspect AUC with decent mileage (<40k), facelift cars could be sub £32k by the end of summer at this rate

The "must haves" vary as they always do according to your personal taste, my must haves for my old F10 M5 were the multi function seats and the carbon interior trim but was just me.

What about the adaptive head lights / camera's etc? These are things I have never had so I aren't totally sure I would miss not having them again?

It comes with adaptive xenon lights as standard and mine had the rear view camera (that's worthwhile as an option) but it comes with most things as standard that you'd need/want, apart from the fabled folding rear seats that most of us forgot to spec.

If this link works it's a PDF of the standard spec:

I have the adaptive LED headlights and high beam assistant ( F80 M3 ) they are amazing it's like driving in daylight! I'm sure it's an option on the M5 as well.

They are superb, but don't seem to be very common as they are quite an expensive option (£1600 if I recall correctly) when the standard xenons already incorporate equivalent adaptive / beam shaping functionality. I'm still glad I specced them though.

Thanks for the link. Interesting what is and isn't standard. There is an AUC car at the moment with 42k miles with a few options tickets, including split/fold rear seats.
