Been looking at an M5 for a while now just a few questions I need answering please guys:

Can I extend the warranty?

How long does a tank of fuel last on a cruise?

The worse point about the car?

The best point?

Any toys on it that are recommend?

Thanks in advanced for the help!

E39 or E60?

You can extend the warranty if it's in warranty and within the mileage limit (not sure what that is).

E60 has most toys, but the active seats are a must.

Most cars will still be in warranty as the first were 05s, but I'd demand a warranty extension before buying.

Zod, out of interest, why do you say active seats are a must?

Without them you will slide around too much when driving above moderate speeds.

and deep pockets for the fuel. Mine was doing about 13 mpg on average, but when I was booting it I found this easily dropped into single figures. The problem arose when i was using it everyday for A to B stuff along the motorways. It became very expensive to run.

however, what a weapon, well worth getting one, especially at current prices. its great value for money. nailing the throttle coming off slip roads its simply stupidly fast.

Fuel tank range.........oh, dear - it feels like about 35 minutes.
Best bits - engine and shove above 6,000rpm.
Worst bits - depreciation and sounds like a 320D when you start it up.
Upgraded stereo is important - the standard one is pants.

Also, I can't help but feel it's a little like Michael Schumacher. So good at everything it almost becomes bland.
Or is that just me being too picky?...

Yes, but only one year at a time and has to be under 100k miles. Do not own one of these without a warranty unless you like gambling and have £10k lying around just in case!

How long does a tank of fuel last on a cruise?
Depends how you drive - I once got 300 out of a tank, but generally with normal driving nearer 200. Or 120 if hooning around the Brecon Beacons with your PH mates!

The worse point about the car?
See above re fuel! Gearbox can be notchy around town, but when you adapt it's fine.

The best point?
The engine is sublime and the gearbox when pushing on is brilliant...

Any toys on it that are recommend?
Logic7 stereo is a must - preferably with aux input, active seats, rear sun-glass, bluetooth

Mind you, mine's probably worth about £15k now.
I last had it valued three weeks ago at £35K so, the speed it's been falling, it's probably about there by now!

rofl

About 22 minutes every week I reckon; based on 5 mins a stop and a generous 200 miles per tank!
