Hi all!

I'm in the market for a low-mileage CS, still under BMW warranty.

What can I reasonably expect to pay for a 2-3 year old car with SMG, nav, blue tooth with say 20000 miles on the clock?

I'm worried about paying too much for a rapidly depreciating car....am I right in saying that a CS will not command any real premium over a standard M3?

There are many dogs around....I'd pay more for a good one.....so if you're thinking about flogging one, get in touch please!

Regards
Jazzer

BMW Dealer Stephen James Enfield has an approved used 2005 '55' plate car with 20,000 miles for £26,900. It's Interlagos blue with grey leather and has the spec you want plus a few other bits and pieces.

There are 9 other cars on the BMW website ranging in price from £26,850 to £33,995, but the one above looked like the best value to me.

I wouldnt worry about a car with a long list of owners, but rather just buy on condition. Its not uncommon for cars like these to change hands often, not necessarily a sign of a bad car.

Good luck and hope u find what ur looking for

Hi Jazzer

Yes a CS will not be much more than a regular M3. The only real difference is the wheels and is generally other inexpensive cosmetic differences. The CS is nothing like the very rare CSL - totally different league.

As JKay said I wouldn't let that put you off. If the condition is good, then that is a very reasonably priced car given the mileage, spec and the fact it's BMW approved used.

There are only a handful on the Auto Trader that are cheaper, and it's not by much, and all except one are over 30,000 miles, and none have both SMG and sat nav.

Thanks for the comments guys!

I know all about the CSL....it's fabulous.

The CS is not a CSL, but it is a significantly better driver's car than the standard M3, with a much sharper, more focused feel....and better handling too. To me, it's a cracking everday car and that's what I'm after.

I know what you mean about condition rather than mileage being the issue.....resale would worry me with higher mileage cars though!

I've seen a nice CS at George White Supercars, although it seems £2K too expensive to me......does anyone know anything about them?

And the CSL brakes and steering rack and M track mode, addressing some of the standard M3's most complained about deficiences. So not all cosmetic and they do go for a premium over the standard car.
