Im going to look at an e60 m5 this week and the car is still under warranty with bmw, its got full dealer history also. The car has done 80k miles and had a clutch done at 35k miles, so it's obviously done a few miles on the clutch. What im wondering is if i buy the car and the clutch goes will it be covered by warranty or not?

The car is a private sale and has the rolling montly payment type warranty with bmw, and has been under it from new. I guess its a haggling point if its the only thing that seems like a potential issue in the future that won't be covered by warranty, unless there are any other items not covered worth mentioning? I can live with the general running amd servicing costs but I really dont want to get stung by a big bill if it goes wrong, hence wanting a car with warranty

Yes im definitely going to check this out, the current owner is paying about £70ish a month, apparently when he took ownership of the car it had just less than 60k miles, but has now done 85k i think. I understand that the warranty cost goes up a lot after 60k miles but surely they are aware of the mileage from when the current owner has made claims.
