hi i have an e46 m3 2003 with the hk and nav,.i was wondering if anyone had had a similar thing done and what is your opinion.i know it isnt a full ipod interface(£400 at bmw) but if they can locate the jack plug near the centre console i dont mind just playing the ipod on shuffle or playlist while driving.its surely much better sound quality than my ropey belkin fm thingy.
do you have to have the tv mode on for the aux input to be used?
the dealer reckons £180 all in(the part is £40),i know people have done it themselves but to be honest i arent too practical and would rather have it done proffesionaly. do you think £180 is steep for an aux lead,as i do, or do you know anyone near staffs that would do it cheaper. in my experience a lot of car audio specialists wont touch the factory satnav/tv install.
any help would be grateful

nice one for the help,to be honest i looked at the intravee clip on you tube about a year ago and it looked the buisness with all the data and tracks etc on the nav screen.i did have a look at getting one but im sure they were only available mail order from the states and i dont know if i trust myself fitting it unless it is easy.
i think for the extra £20 over a basic aux lead its definately worth getting as it will charge my ipod and allow the steering wheel controls to be used.
where do you fit it? and does it involve the removal of the cd changer or does it just become disconnected?
thanks
