2008 Z4 M Coupe £24,999 Mistake or bargain of the year?

2008/57 Plate, Fairly basic spec, but good colour. Mileage on Application. You would have thought such a young car would have low miles, but maybe reason its cheap is because is has big miles.
Anyway, if anyone is thinking of one of these at the moment, Id say you wont find better value than this.

"£24,999 vat qualifying" would indicate to me that you have to add VAT on to the price? ie to a retail customer they are actually asking for £29,374?
No, VAT Qualifying means VAT will be split out on the invoice.I.E. £21,272 Plus VAT.
On a young car like this I would expect its an ex Demo which are always VAT qaulifying.

I found an ex bmw management Z4M coupe that i thought was cheap, until I found out it hadn't had the all important 1200 mile running in service. This was at a bmw dealership.
The bmw warranty was invalid, but the dealer was putting the warranty on it themselves.
Good point maybe this is the reason its cheap. The bmw warranty was invalid, but the dealer was putting the warranty on it themselves.
I couldnt help myself. Ive just rung up about it.
The dealership is overstocked and Inchcape PLC(the company that owns Cooper) have just written down all of their stock, so it moves rather stick around for even longer in these hard times.
I know this is true because they done once while I was a used car manager for Maranello(another company they used to own)
It has done 1,700 miles. It has had its running check. It was their own Demo.
One of there other branches has a customer in the showroom now on this car.
Ring right now with your credit card details, or it will be gone!

Never understand why dealers panic sell.....
Because Z4Ms fell through the floor when times were good, so there's little hope for them now! This is a one off very cheap car, that is proberbly already sold to some lucky devil who got real bargain.
Facts:
I paid £31,000 from an asking price of £31,850 for an AUC 2007/56 plate with Sat-Nav, all the toys, and 1,800 miles almost a year ago.
Today the cheapest AUC 2008/57 car with similar spec(I.E. same car today) is £31,990 with 9k miles.
There simply isnt the supply of these cars there was a year ago. Yes there are a few sub £30k cars now, and you couldnt get them for that money a year ago. but they are generally older higher mileage cars, that are priced correctly.

There are 16 sub-£30k cars on the AUC site, mostly low mileage.Today the cheapest AUC 2008/57 car with similar spec(I.E. same car today) is £31,990 with 9k miles.

I repeat I'm collecting a top spec 07 car today for £27250, so a low spec car for 25K isn't a one off.
I've been offered a least 8 cars with sat nav for around 28K,mostly 07 plate and some newer with less than 10K on the clock, supply isn't low, more cars are coming to dealers all the time. These are main dealers too.
Sorry, did you not get the reaction you were hoping for the first time you posted it?I've been offered a least 8 cars with sat nav for around 28K,mostly 07 plate and some newer with less than 10K on the clock, supply isn't low, more cars are coming to dealers all the time. What you are buying sounds like the same car I paid £31k for a year ago. What you are paying today, is a very good deal, but only what I would expect bearing in mind you are buying your car almost a year later.
The £25k car is 2008 with 1,700 miles. I think it is a one off. If you can find the same car for the same money or less, let me know.
Not everybody wants Sat Nav. Granted lots of people do, thats why Sat Nav cars command more money. But some people will be happy to take the cheaper car with no Nav. The guy who has bought the £25k car, would think the idea of paying £2.5k more for a year older car with a few extra bits would be silly.
How do you know what supply main dealers had of these cars one year ago, compared to today?

Just winding back to that point on Sat Nav. Why did BMW put the 'old' version of sat nav in these cars? Are they all based on the old version or do laters cars get the new operating screen?
Good point. Not sure is the answer. The X3, and 1 Series also have the same old Nav System. They also share a lot of other systems.

yep and its not even proverty spec could be the red leather thats killed the price a bit
Yes I have noticed the cheapest ones are with the bright Red leather interior. There are 2 shades of red leather for this car, and the bright one seems to be a bit harder to sell.Gassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
