The car will need geometry setting up afterwards so it is reasonably complex.

As you'll be having the geo done anyway consider getting the car set up as follows:

"Front Axle

Castor (left/right) = +7 deg 13 mins /+7 deg 12 mins
Toe out on turns (left/right) = -1 deg 48mins / -1 deg 58mins
Camber (left/right) = -1 deg 57mins / -1 deg 53mins
Toe (left/right/total) = +0 deg 01mins / +0 deg 01mins / +0 deg 02mins

Rear Axle

Camber (left/right) = -0 deg 52mins / -0 deg 49mins
Toe (left/right/total) = +0 deg 02mins / +0 deg 04mins / +0 deg 06mins
Geometric Driving Axis = +0 deg 01mins

Remember, -1 deg 60 min is the same as -2 degrees"

Basically you want as much camber as possible on the front, without midifying the car or removing the locating pins you can get very near to -2degrees, this transforms the steering feel and turn in IMO.

These settings came from DoctorD on here and they really do make a difference.

Nathan, have you (or anyone else for that matter) had the limiter kit fitted?

Had my RTABs replaced last year but I'm sure they're bolloxed again. The idea of the kit is interesting.

Thanks for those (I've got a printed copy of those from BM3W) - any pros and cons with that setup ? Tyre wear etc.

Reduced tyre wear on track as the fronts don't roll onto the outer edge so readily, haven't had any problems with the insides wearing before the rest of the tyre during road driving either.

Me neither. Anyone running -3deg up front have any tyre wear problem from road use?

Guys, those that are using the revised geometry settings posted above, do these apply for 'Any' tyre like the Pilot sport 2's or do they apply to cars using the Cup tyres only?

Cheers

i am running -2 up front and PS2s lasted 12000 miles and no uneven wear at all when removed.

Cups run on the same settings (until i get my new adjustable suspension fitted)

Just had new RTAB's fitted and the limiter kit today, only had a few miles to get the new feel but initial impressions are it feels a lot more 'taunt' and controllable in the back end. Don't know whether this is due to the new bushes (the old ones didn't look to bad but quite soft) or the limiter kit.

Interestingly the new bushes were a different design to the original ones. Limiter kit is quite basic kit but looks like it has done the job.

Look forward to some wet weather to see how it handles then

Bought the kit and bushes from Simpsons, approx £120. Local garage fitted them for £60 (the stealers wanted £250 - 2hrs labour) !! Just need a full geo set up and I'm sorted (and then a re-map, then AP brakes, then supercharger ......)

I'd also be interested in hearing people's experiences, as I want to do one or the other as the standard bushes are crap and wear way too quickly for my liking, spoiling the cars handling.
