We're just outside Calne, N.Wilts. And you're right, most of my cars haven't been sheds but those that were could be described as pretty rough - I'm old enough to have lived through the hey day of cheap rotted out Minis, Escorts and Cortinas with fungus growing on the perpetually damp carpets, even MX5s don't rot and leak like the tat from the 1970s... smile

Ah yes I don't think I have been there but I have heard of it!
Ha I see what you mean, I supposed went through that too, but Micras instead :-D
Depends on the mx5 you get, mind ;-)
Patch, its great isn't it? Evenings like this are perfect to have a convertible with! I'm sure you'll find many more opportunities to put the roof down! I had mine down on the way back from Tesco at 8.45 lol

this is my ginger ninja,

planning to put 15s on it, some vinyl/stickers (good taste and taking the piss ones), then throw it round Knockhill.

After reading lots about Plasti dip, i'm tempted to get the car redone another colour but not sure if i will or not. If i do it might just be matt orange!

Looking smart. I only went around there yesterday. MX5 heaven!
was a bit damp that day and was still new to the car. Want to make a few changes to her and then spank it around there!

From memory, the drivers one was just a case of drilling new holes in the sliders and bolting through. For the passenger the sliders arw different width due to transmission tunnel, so I sat it on two bits of flat to pick up on the seat mounts and the runners. I had to ditch some of the slider release mech though as it fouled on bottom of seat, used some cable ties which work well.

I think I have a write up somewhere, I'll send you the link.
Thanks, much appreciated

Here is my new addition. Plenty to do on it. Needs new rear arches and a roof. Making a few knocks from the rear too, new bushes needed in some places I think.

Managed to breathe some light into the paint...

After:

Came up ok, still loads of swirls, going to have another go with some decent polish next.

Went a bit OCD with the interior, was covered in dog hair...

Liking the transformation Rickyy! She's come up real nice. What sort of mileage has she done?

Are you going to take off the 1.8i badge? - it seems a little bit Ford L/GL/GLS/Ghia, IYKWIM.

Thanks, 85k, I'm the 4th owner, previous 2 being husband and wife who'd owned it for the last ten years, has a stack of history too.

Yeah, the 1.8i badge has faded, that'll be coming off, don't like the position of the front plate, might put an offset square one on.

My first '5. As with some others, I've got a few knocks occurring, but overall it's in pretty good nick. Sills are completely intact!

Hi all. My first foray into the MX5 world and am loving it so far. Much more fun than my E36 compact.

Its a very smart colour, has had the drivers side sill done and passenger one looks fine.

I just cant stop driving it!!
