Well, I've given him the information he wanted. I've spoken to his friend twice, been sent a picture of ID and the £1800 in fifty pound notes, found his active facebook page which is plastered with postings of modded MX5's going back way before he contacted me AND he has sent me a £100 deposit.

If this is some kind of scam to get my name and a copy of my V5 (which even if he had the original is not proof of ownership) then it is very elaborate for no gain that I can see

Truly gutted to see her go. On the plus side, I got full price and the French kid seemed to be an enthusiast and couldn't stop grinning from the moment he clapped eyes on her!
