Evening all,

I had to move the MX5 around the garage earlier by hand earlier and noticed that there is a bit of play in the steering (it's a non-PAS car).

When stationary you can wiggle the wheel a few degrees either side of the straight-ahead and I can hear a clonking noise coming from the front of the car - that can't be healthy.

I'm thinking of having the suspension upgrade to the P5 kit soon so may as well sort this little issue as well.

Any ideas what should I look at / adjust / replace?

Cheers,
Matt

are you sure the clonking isn't the water pump?

I don't think so.
Unless you mean is something clonking against the water pump?
