Any other Mk1 SE owners out there?

Thought I'd better get my act sorted out and finally make a post to PistonHeads.

I've got a British MX5 Mk1 SE and I'd be interested if there was anyone else out there with the same model, and finding out what (subtle) mods you have made to the car. I would appreciate advice on any great driving roads within a short distance of South London too.

I was thinking of getting one of the small chin spoilers for the front, as I had heard that Mazda originally planned to put these on the original car, but they got dropped for cost cutting reasons. Do they make much difference?

Are the chassis braces something that I could do easily myself, or would I need to put the car up on ramps to do it properly?

It is something that I have been meaning to look at, as I have seen other people mention that it is a relatively inexpensive mod that gives the most difference. The only slight concern I have is that it may have a detrimental effect to the ride of the car.
