The MX5 was delivered yesterday so I spent most of the day driving around the countryside making the most of the sunshine. cool

I am chuffed to bits with the car, overall, but one thing slightly irks me about it... the DSC system is very keen to cut the throttle, even on 2nd gear straight line accels. I tried a few similar runs with it switched off and it didn't feel anywhere near the traction limit.

Working in the automotive industry, I have had the chance to drive several hundred different cars and few have been as keen to cut the throttle. For the sake of the relatively few moments that it does cut the throttle, it is not worth driving around with the DSC off, so, does anybody here know if there is an alternative, less aggressive ABS calibration available?

An alignment check would seem to make sense, particularly since the wheels have a little kerbing, so its probably not 100%. Car has 4k miles on the clock, so I assume the tyres have done about that too.

As you say, mid-corner accel from an apex seems to trigger the DSC light in 3rd too.
