This guy and his son own Legendary LMC Motor Company based in Canada,

They have a showroom full of cars like this GT40,

Don't know where he finds them. I suppose 35 years in the trade he's collected some good contacts.
I'm sure they had a TV series at one time. Plenty of videos of droolworthy (is that even a word? biggrin ) cars on their channel.

Must be a real pleasure going to work every day,yes

I could have it wrong, just remember Alan selling one or two of Marks cars some years back, thought this was one of them unless he

had a change of heart or he's own a previous one,

I know you guys hated the "Ruffian" Galaxie that i got roasted for

but i think you are going to love the" Ruffian" 67 FIA Mustang Fastback,

Haven't watched it yet and with Chris Ashton anything can happen so

probably not going to like every thing he has done to it,

At a glance it looks like it's got my name written all over it.

Would keep my FIA Cobra 289 company in the toy cupboard,

The video is on the "AUTOTOPIA LA " channel , Title "Ruffian Cars 67 Ford FIA Fastback Mustang"
Started watching it this morning. I love the arches and 15"s with the Avons. Looks ace I think.

Don't know if you guys noticed all the cars in the back ground of Chris Ashton's garage,

Could all most be be dream garage, 57 T/Bird, C2 Grand Sport ,C3 , FIA Cobra even a Cuda or Challenger

shell hanging up not to mention his GT40 and Mach 1,didn't mention the Galaxie on purpose after last time .yes

For the last few months you've been going from ''I'm out'' to ''I need medical help and a lottery win'', but who can blame you NaT, we're all just as bad! wink

Just got home from a gruelling rules exam at work, my head is about to explode but knowing I'll be confronted with and lusting after some shiny old cars at the NEC for the next two days will be the perfect come down.

Odds on favourite I'll come home wanting :

a) a Mustang Fastback

b) a Maser Indy / Khamsin / Mexico / Merak etc.

c) a Bentley S3 Continental Flying Spur by Mulliner Park Ward

d) a GT40 rep.

e) a Lister Bell Lancia Stratos rep.

f) a much, much bigger garage

g) rat rod's C2

h) all of the above

hehe

Its amazing how none of us have waned in our passion ,in most of our cases obsession of our hobby.

I'm afraid to tell you the only medication for our illness is to indulge in yet another motor yes

At least you and aero have your bang-sticks to divert your attention now and then.

My mum said i will grow out of it when i got caught out at the age of 14 taking my dads Healey 3000 for a 50 mile joy ride driving

Probably not the only one on here who's done that.

Yes i looked old even at that age ,my mum and dad bought me a electric razor for my 13th birthday

Ive been trying to convince myself that come retirement i'l be fine, i'l find things to do blah blah, but its become quite obvious that the one thing i enjoy and could well pass the time is still messing around with old motors!
the difference being i can do it when the fancy takes , as opposed to trying to get the interest after a week at work!

Seems obvious now, for the first time i'l potentially have the time!
Ive got the tools, the knowhow so while i can im going to give it a shot!
So as im going to be working for awhile longer il make getting another car my carrot so to speak!
Maybe just maybe i could do it one more time and and not have to cash it in to help the kids out or anyone else come to that!

My wifes happy to have a less grand daily so that will increase my car fund by a reasonable amount , so things are looking favorable!

My mother god rest her soul would have told you that the first word I ever spoke before mum and dad was car. She blamed it on us living in a flat above a used car dealership and that all the leaded fumes poisoned my brain. I am glad they did smile

Great story!
Yeps mines similar apart from the living bit,
My Dad had a sales and repair garage in Sydenham so even when I was very very young standing on a jack and being lifted was great fun !
The smell and all the fascinating tools all around was always going to have a lasting impression!!
Jags and Rover 90/110’s Humber Snipes etc,
Thinking back these couldn’t have been terrible old,
He never had many proper old cars lying around,
like Box 7’s etc, guess most were gone even then !!
Especially in London,
When we finally left and headed south the Power boats took the place of cars, but ironically These being expensive toys they were generally brought by guys with money who had mostly Leary cars!
So it continued!
Thinking back I was pretty lucky and had a fantastic upbringing!!
Hardly surprising I’m a completely hooked!!

On way home from the gym last night at 6.30pm the white '71 Cuda 383 that lives near me somewhere came burbling along the road towards me......I think the guy must use it to drive to work on dry or nice days, as that's the 3rd time I've seen it around my area at that sort of time.

cool

When I was 14 my Dad drove a Maxi, for some reason I never felt the urge to go for a joyride in it...

Besides which, my Mum would have skinned me alive. laugh

My Dad had a Triumph 2000 estate when I was 14, and I did drive it around on some private land at that age.....but, given he was a copper at the time, no way would I have attempted a twoc with it.............eek
