I'm not going to go into too many specifics here or I'll fall foul of the forum rules......but, has anyone got an opinion on MCE insurance?

I used to have my Capri insured with them and had no problems, then swapped the insurance to my 300zx. Since then they seem to find it impossible to supply an insurance document with the correct details. It's been two months and still they can't get it right rolleyes

Hmmmm, they were going to charge me £25 for a Change of Address until I asked them "nicely" to reconsider. Perhaps their performance would have been better if I paid it!

It's a good job you can now apply for tax online as that's what I had to do as I still don't have an accurate insurance job.

I agree about the mileage thingy too. I'm limited to 5k in the Zed, but at no time have they asked for proof.

Hopefully ours are isolated incidents...as I mentioned they were fine when I first insured my old Capri last year. I certainly won't be risking them when I get the Mustang frown

Thanks guys. Looks like I'll be trying A-Plan come renewal time smile

In the meantime, I'll give MCE one last chance to get me the piece of paper I want. 7th phonecall lucky?

Hi Steve

I'll send you an email from home tonight. Unfortunately, I never received the appropriate paperwork and have now changed cars. As my latest vehicle is a Mustang, I was informed I'd have to cancel the policy on the 300zx and take out a new one. After being told on a couple of occasions that someone would call me to quote on the Mustang, I heard nothing.

I have now insured the Mustang with A-Plan, but still need to cancel the 300zx policy as soon as possible.

I applaud you for coming on here, so I'll list the tale of woe in my email. Whilst it won't help me, perhaps lessons can be learned for others.

Cheers

smile

I'm sure MCE have a large number of happy customers, but I don't think I've heard of another company that seems to pee off so many of them frown
