I'm not that struck on JLC's dressier watches, but I do like these!

Lovely watch.
Dear God no.....that's a monstrosity from such a distinguished brand.
Massive crown and guards x2........as if one wasn't enough!
Branding in completely the wrong position on the dial.
And a GMT time wheel protruding from a gapping wound on the dial.
The least said about the hands, the better!

Sorry Jamie, but not even the name can save that one, for me.
Well, as we're stating opinion as fact...

You're wrong biggrin

Although, I'm basing my opinion on seeing them in person and these are definitely watches that don't look as good as they are in photos.

Chars John - it was the last Heuer Carrera and one of the very last Heuers, not bad as a death-rattle watch along with its PVDed brother the 510.511, which I'm also keeping an eye open for.

Here it is with my other L5100 Heuer, the 510.501 -

501 makes it a Pasadena?

The Pasadena was a V7750 in the same case with 'Pasadena' on the dial, ref. 750.50 280SL. The V7750 with no 'Pasadena' but the same case was the 750.501. Mine (on the right, above) was part of the '1000 series' from 1985 powered by the L5100 and had the ref 510.501 -

Ah, I have a Pasadena "no name" with 750.501-3 - so it's steel, not PVD.

love that style of longines. It's verging on art deco. Was sat next to someone at a conference who had the very minimal white dial longines and admired it so much i made a note!

Yep - and the other is very like the Heuer AMI, but again in V7750 form. (What's the ref for it Podie?) This was perhaps the murkiest period for Heuer as they transitioned ownership, there are Heuer dialled watches with TAG Heuer bracelets, various varieties of dial configuration - look at the catalogue examples compared to mine - script position is slightly different, some have day, some not etc etc.

Heuer A.M.I. 5100 -

There was another version of the AMI with the Lemania marked dial...that's one I'd love to track down...

Oooh, that's nice.

The Montreal is a 750.503 - not many blue faces about (so I am told).

It's a convex case version, and as such it's unusual to have the name "Montreal" on the dial, but it has been checked over by several Heuer experts and they say it's not a Fraken-watch.

You can't understand people not liking it, because you do or that it's made by JLC?
I don't like it, irrespective of the name on the dial, but I expect a stload better from such an exalted brand.
The fact that someone deemed it good enough to be put into production and marketed is laughable, if it were meant to be funny – they weren't!
