Whilst I am perfectly aware that tastes vary, I don't think there is any need to be quite so rude.

However I have to agree - that Perrelet is lovely.

You can't understand people not liking it, because you do or that it's made by JLC?
I don't like it, irrespective of the name on the dial, but I expect a stload better from such an exalted brand.
The fact that someone deemed it good enough to be put into production and marketed is laughable, if it were meant to be funny – they weren't!

If you want to see at least one alarm done sensibly, then look at the Perrelet one – http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.php?237254-Alarm...
It's a only a watch! I can't quite understand the level of hatred? I can take it off you know. Anway I make that 7 for, 1 against.

It's a good job we don't all like the same things, or god help us, we'd be driving Lexus GS300's! wink

No rudeness involved, just pointing out how JLC designed theirs wrongly, in an effort to be different or because they were fixated on a specific design feature of the Compressors being carried through.
If it was anything less than a JLC, I would expect it to be par for the course.
Proof, I suppose, that no matter the heritage/history/etc behind a brand, it's no guarantee they'll get it right every time.

Just in case there's any doubt, none of my comments are a reflection on Jamie himself – far from it.
My comments are purely in the context of how JLC signed off on that design.

And before I get accused of favouritism, I have the same passionate displeasure of the grotesquely large pushers Seiko decided to run with, on the Grand Seiko Chronos!
GS and chronographs are two ideologies that should never have met – leave the Anantas to do the chrono work.

Oh.....now it's personal!
Well, the day you buy a Lexus, I'll sell mine

It's not hatred (such a strong word) – as above, it's passionate displeasure.
Now, take the bding thing off, and wear something that doesn't offend my eyeballs. biggrin

BTW, 7 of you are still wrong........but hey, it's only a watch. The Earth will still be spinning tomorrow, just like today, and every other day before that.

I'd love to but I've only got a triple date speedy with a generic 7750, stick out pushers and a cluttered face or a boring poor man's Rolex oyster date in a women's size!

I guess it's easier to just use a mobile phone idea

These are great watches. I had one in for sale last year and was sorely tempted to keep it myself. Top purchase.
