I have a few. The top three were pretty cheap, but the Poljot Strela cost double the combined cost of the other three! A right bugger to photograph because the dial is so reflective.

I went through a phase of buying them, I have 2 broken ones somewhere at my parents and this beauty that I fixed when the weight came loose.
I give you a Vostok Automatic KGB:
Funnily enough, I have exactly the same one. Bought in Tyumen, Siberia a number of years ago.

That's a Slava. Not sure what name or model number, but I think it's 70s or 80s made.

I've found a green strap to match the dial now. I'll get a photo up later.

Excuse the off topic.

I was given my grandfathers watch after his death 24 years ago, it is almost identical to this watch.

Basically, I need someone who can repair this watch, almost re-build it. I'm not too worried about the cost as it has a very sentimental value and I would love to wear it again.

So, can anyone recommend where I could have it repaired?

Thanks
Mark

I've used this chap before.

He'll give you an estimate if you post it to him.

Are any parts missing? If so, that could cause a problem.

Thanks Alex,

The watch is currently in storage in Australia, but I'll be back to dig it out in September time.

Always worth a try.

Cheers
