£300 max budget...

Beijin Patek Phillipe now broken and showing no signs of life.... Becoming seriously tempted to go for Tissot PRC 200...
Fancy classic look- light face on brown leather as different to my PO...
Question is, do I go for automatic non-chrono @ £245 delivered- or quartz chrono @ £195 delivered...?
Tempted to go plain as seriously tempted by a nice Speedmaster on black leather at some stage when funds allow....
If I go that way, would then have PO Divers, Tissot Auto 'classic' & Nice Chrono (Speedmaster)....
Any thoughts?

Popped out at lunchtime and looked in a few windows... Must say I have taken rather a shine to Tissot for the money... Tried a few on and really like the feel of the Visodate.... Pretty impressed by the quality.
They wanted £365 on the High Street- but found this deal onh-line and should be with me tomorrow:

Really quite excited!

I too am after a £300ish auto, as a daily driver. I generally wear my Seiko 5 day-to-day and would like something more substantial.
I was thinking of the CW C5 Malvern Aviator.
Or a second-hand Oris Big Crown.
Or the tempting Seiko above that CommanderJameson put a link to.
Any thoughts on the above or similar alternatives? Or would I not find a big enough difference to my Seiko 5 to make the expense worthwhile?

I must say that I am seriously chuffed with my Tissot Visodate... It has led to many complimentary observations from people who have been genuinely surprised by the quality for the price...
One of my mates (who drives a Rolex Sub), actually said 'bl**dy-hell Dave, have you bought yourself an IWC...!' To be fair, that was only after a glance.
Not necessarily saying go for Visodate, depends on personal preference. But Tissot are definitely worth a look for quality & price.

What about something interesting like an old Bulova Accutron? There's loads on ebay at a variety of prices. Every man should own a hummer at some point.
Or one of these lovelies.......

I bought two.... Not quite the same as that one. One is all black and the other is white with silver sub-dials.
Here's my black one.
I have it on black leather now so it looks smart when I've got my suit on.
That is very nice indeed.
Can you give us a commentary on the quality?
It's great. I wouldn't have bought a second if I wasn't delighted with the first. I was lucky enough to get mine at a reasonable price as I bought my first from a watch forum and the second was on an ebay auction rather than BIN.
One little quirk they both have is that if you start the crono from anywhere but the start, you have to tap the button quickly, because if you hold it down for a second or two the chrono second hand will jump two seconds. I can't see this being a problem for many wearers. Also it's only a semi-quickset date.
