white gold ....black croc strap ....I sold my Patek world time 12 months ago (along with several Vacherons and a nice Rolex ) but a man has got to have a Patek on his wrist
If I had the odd 40k knocking about I would love to own a 5205 ....perhaps when i stop spending large pots of money on my new/old home ....
Nice combination. The world time is a personal favourite, so many good variations in the series. If I had the odd 40k knocking about I would love to own a 5205 ....perhaps when i stop spending large pots of money on my new/old home ....

What make/model are they? They are http://www.stratonwc.com. They are a Kickstarter start up company and their very first watches are being dispatched now. I have one of the very first ones coming to me, as I was one of the first backers. I'm looking forward to having something a bit different.
Thway have their 2nd watch design launching in the NY.

that is truly stunning .....ive just purchased a Patek 5024 this morning as I fancy a bit of art deco I recently picked up a 5024J too, a great little watch...
OK, it's not an incoming, however there's a chance that it could be. I've been thinking about consolidating the collection, bringing it down to maybe 3 to 5 in all, and something like this would fit the smart/casual bill to a tee. I went in to try an Explorer I and only tried this top notch nick 2006 roulette wheeled Datejust out of curiosity not really expecting to think much of it...
We'll see how things pan out, it may well never happen, it's certainly food for thought though.

Oops. In a moment of excess, I've pulled the trigger on this.
New & unworn from a trusted eBay seller based in the US.
Got it for a great price
Will go well with my Chronoris.
I quite like this. I used to have an Oris Big Crown sub seconds pointer date but foolishly gave it to an ex girlfriend as it was about the only thing she could wear. Its one of the few I've had that I wish I still had.New & unworn from a trusted eBay seller based in the US.

As stated the Orises are an under rated brand.

The black one is lovely, isn't it.But isn't this like saying, why have a Ferrari when you could have three 911s in different colours?
I bought all 3 as I couldn't decide which to have as they all have a distinctly different look although they are basically the same watch.

Nice. I see the appeal of having all 3 although the Black would be my personal choice in addition to my SD.Lots to like from Tudor right now. The Pelagos is a cracker too and I quite like (but not quite enough to buy) the North Flag.

apart from the fact that tudor are made by rolex, and look far too similar in my view! Not sure why Rolex would want to risk diluting their own brand tbh. I'd prefer to see Tudor making original watches, with the same production values as they have now, as opposed to just being what is in effect an in-house rip-off. There are so many rolex-a-likes on the market already.

I'm split between a Tudor BB (red with leather, used ~£1,900) or a ~2000 year 14060M (~£3,500). For smart casual wear. What are the forum opinions on the choice?
For me, head says 14060M but heart says Black Bay (and like you, I'd have it on leather too!)You'll most likely lose money on the BB unless Tudor stop making 'em, whereas the Rolex will lock in stronger residuals, but you have to pay extra in the first place to get those residuals.
Further, if Tudor start using their new in-house movement in the Black Bay models, the non in-house versions will become less desirable, and thus, will have even weaker residuals. Particularly so if, as with the North flag and Pelagos, they don't hike the price by a stupid margin for the in-house version.
So, two questions you need to ask yourself:
1) Which one do you *really* want?
2) Is resale value a factor for you?
Tudors already have typical market residuals – you can pick them up pre-owned for at least 35% less than the retail price.
Adding the in-house 72 hour PR movement won’t really affect things much, since there’ll be plenty of pre-owned buyers looking for the original due to its easily (read more cheaply) serviceable ETA movement fitted.
