Incoming… what do you have? (Vol. 3)
Discussion
'I was window shopping in Birningham on Saturday.
A couple of very good used watch dealers in the city centre who had some nice stock in, I wasn't looking to buy ( even less so having tried on a Panerai in Watches of Switzerland) but this really caught my eye and after leaving in a stalemate I returned and paid £275.
It's used but all authentic and has a retail of more than twice that, never worn and still with the plastic covering.
It's a Bulova 96B175
Yes, it's Quartz but still water resistant to 300m and has the size I like, construction quality is very good too.
I can see it being used a fair bit to protect my higher end pieces

Off to Thailand for Xmas so if any of you lot want any knock off "desinger" clothes do let me know. You can tell yourselves you bought it for the quality!!
In what way, shape of form, does knock off designer clothes, or indeed, knock offs of *anything* have to do with the current discussion?BlownCV was asserting that any dive watch that looked even slightly like a Sub was a knock off of a Sub, whether or not it bore the Rolex logo, or was a re-release of a vintage model hailing from exactly the same parent company and era.
I think the reference to knock off clothes was an attempt to make his(?) point. Micky taking followed.

Incoming for me (I'm a very happy chappy!)
Bremont ALT1-C, cream dial. Been after one of these for a few years now, not many about. Managed an incredibly good deal on a brand new unworn watch in the end. Just have to wait for delivery now...
Then there is an old Raymond Weil W1 to bring back to life (are you reading, Variomatic?!) sometime in the new year

Just arrived by FedEx from my pawnbroker mate. Christmas present to myself. Flying B Chrono. Am v pleased. Went for a nice black rubber strap with a tan croc one as a back up.
(Apologies for the gratuitous Bentley in a Ferrari pic, terrible quality photo, deformed wrists and overly hairy arm)
