Have Tag agreed terms for the automatic watch?

I was going to buy one but they wouldnt commit to a design of watch for the auto one in two years (i have seen the one being touted as the watch, but i have also been told that the watch hasnt been signed off yet) and the paperwork also stated a "likely cost" to change of £1100.

Really wanted one but a big part for me was also the fact i would get the ltd edition auto watch in 2 years time and i couldnt get them to commit to a design or price.

Have put my name down with Watches of Switzerland for a GMT Master-II with (blue/black bezel), which was the first watch I ever lusted after. Now, 20yrs later I might actually get one!

Is that the platinum one? I am hoping that one day in the future they may release it in steel with that bezel!

Indeedy yes It suits the watch so well that the other 2 NATOs I bought for it have remained unused.

Steel with blue/black bezel, I believe. It has been out for a year or more

Reference 116710BLNR if you want to look it up!

Apparently it has actually been out for nearly three years. I thought it was less than that

Just did a bit of research, it's certainly been out for more than a year. I've no idea why, but I was convinced it was only available in white gold. I was holding on for a Daytona later in the year, this changes things.

Im not sure what you mean, part of the deal with the watch is that in two years time you can buy a traditional automatic tag heuer watch from them in order to entice early adopters.

They have mentioned a price of £1100 to part exchange plus the connected watch and they have shown an automatic watch at the side of the connected watch so the assumption is that it will be £1100 plus the connected watch and you will get the automatic watch shown in the pictures.

This does not however appear to be the case, the paperwork that i was asked to sign for purchase stated the price "should" be £1100, this obviously gives them scope to charge a different figure. And the paperwork also stated that the design of the automatic watch had not yet been finalised but that it would be a ltd wdition watch.

Therefore i was being asked to enter a contract with no knowledge of how much the second watch would cost or even if i would like the watch.

To me it didn't seem right having that many unknowns whenagain for me, one of the big draws of this versus the apple watch is that when it becomes obsolete i have an exit strategy.

You are thinking of the blue and red dial! They released that in the GMT-IIC and it is white gold only.

I am colour blind, so there is every chance! But it is the blue/black I was interested in before I thought it was white gold only.

White Gold is the red and blue bezel. Suitably understated :-)

Thats the GMT Master II 116719 BLRO. Full retail is £26k ... although watchfinder have one for sale for £16,950. For once perhaps a worse investment than the four-wheeled type.;)

sorry i misunderstood, i thought you were expecting some assurances from Tag that the model would not be obsolete within 2 years or something.
