That's a proper wrist shot. Looks good.

Did your watch have the sticker over the face and a little blue 'void' label on the back?
Thanks smile
It did I think - but my eyes are fecked so I couldn't read it! I wonder what "void" meant? because there was nothing underneath it that I could see.

That's what puzzled me. I couldn't see what would be 'void' if I removed it.

I couldn't resist this Timex for £30 from Argos today. Now to get a couple of nato straps...

Tidy!
Really pleased with it - I need to resize the bracelet, but other than that smile
I toyed with the idea of one of those for too long, then they sold out.

Rather pissed off now I've seen a decent photo

Timex's 'Indiglo' backlight system, ideal for vampires as there's no need to go into daylight to refresh the lume.

Only downside was Yodel knocking at the door. I'm off sick from work and it took me about 15 seconds to get to the door and he had already self signed and was walking down the path.
EVERY single time I get sent something with Yodel they fk it up.

I complained to Amazon so much about them, that they gave me a special rate to sign up to Prime so I wouldn't have to use them again, but every now and then an odd item gets "delivered" through them.

Best one was when we ordered a nappy bin, next day. One of those things that we didn't think we'd need, but it turned out to be utterly indispensible, anyway - wife is obviously at home with the 2 week old bairn. She's downstairs, and hears someone walking up the path. Something pushed through the letterbox, probably a Lidl offers flyer or something. Luckily the little one needs a change, so she's up and past the front door to see it's a Yodel card. "We tried to deliver, but you weren't in..."

Oh no. She's not having this. Runs out of the house, and down the road pursuing the lady who is hotfooting it to her van. Doesn't even have the box in her hand, just the keys to her little van. Wife shouts after her. Yodel woman ignores, and gets in the van. Wife runs up to the window of the van, baby under her arm. Yodel woman starts van, still ignoring. Wife stands in front of van. Yodel woman eventually gets out and asks what's happening. Wife complains about card, despite not even a ring of the doorbell or a knock on the door. Yodel woman sheepishly explains she doesn't have any of the parcels, just a set of cards for her round that day. Shows wife the back of her van, totally empty, and another 5-6 cards she has to deliver.

So, we complained to Amazon, who agreed to put a note on my account to never use Yodel shipping again, and sent my wife a 10 gift certificate to apologise. But it just shows their mentality. Utter cretins.

WTF. I'd complain to Yodel, too. Not for compensation but to get her reprimanded or sacked. Not your wife. hehe

Cheers mate - despite nappy bins, we're loving it!

(as for complaining to Yodel, by the time I got home they were shut, and by the time the opened again the next day Amazon had already dealt with our complaint, and assured me they would be in touch with Yodel themselves)

Also, re-reading how I wrote the above, it makes it seem as if Mrs HBM was blocking the van with the baby, Arthur Dent style. It was more of a walk around the front to catch the delivery lady's eye, she assures me!

Bought two for holiday:

Both have an 80s vibe and both were 45 each so even if I hate them in the flesh, I won't be too bothered.

I know they'll be small, but I've got far too many bigger watches anyway!

Both from Creation, they've got loads of different 5s under 50 at the minute

Thanks. I shouldn't have looked. I know gold is normally a no, but I really like this.

Also this Orient is nice, over budget though.

It's a classic design but quite simple so isn't really outdated. Someone on TZ-UK is selling a nice Eco-drive for just over budget with a similar design. I'm sorely tempted but need to sell a few more watches before I consider buying anything else!
