Choosing a TAG
Discussion
Is it just me, or are the twin 12 o'clock markers not quite the same size?
I even had a quick look on the official Tag Heuer website at the 01 and even there, the hi-res image seems to show a marginal difference in the position of the two markers

Lovely-looking watch, but something like that would offend my OCD
Ouch - just noticed - 45mm! - bit hefty for me

(All IMHO of course)
TAG Heuer is like Audi. It has the 'name', a few past successes - 4wdQuattro/HeuerMonaco, and you can buy some expensive Audis and TAGs. But generally you're paying for a flashy sheen over an ordinary machine with cheaper, borrowed parts (VAG/ETA).
Whereas BMW I liken to Omega - popular, wide range, 'pseudo-ish-poshness' and generally good quality.
And Mercedes is Rolex - expensive, wide range of established models and good quality.
That ought to get a bit of a reaction !
Seiko is undoubtedly the Nissan GT-R!(All IMHO of course)

I wouldn't buy any German crap.
Owned 10 German cars and one Jaguar - the Jaguar being brand new. Want to hazard a guess which was the least reliable, or 'crap' as you so eloquently put it.
Nope, you're wrong. It was the jaguar.
What were you saying about watches now.....?

Actually that sounds familiar ... isn't that a bit like TAG banging on about the Steve McQueen Monaco connection and selling a load of quartz F1s? Probably to Audi A3 owners.

Wow. That hardly relates to the buyer of a 1.6 TDI A3. Even with the loose diesel connection..

I was pointing out your lack of knowledge on past successes as you put it, most of modern day top level motorsport has little to do with run of the mill production cars anymore.Actually that sounds familiar ... isn't that a bit like TAG banging on about the Steve McQueen Monaco connection and selling a load of quartz F1s? There's no lack of knowledge. I just listed one 'achievement' relative to Audi as a car brand, rather than some overblown success at le-mans - if anything I was doing Audi a favour on that one, one where they actually had a road car worthy of successive mention.Kierkegaard said:

Recent surveys put Jaguar up at the very top, way above the German crap.
So many examples to choose from, here's your starter.....
