Nice work. Wrist shot please, but I'm seriously tempted just for the fun of it! Am I right in thinking that it is shortened so it'll just go round the wrist once?
Correct. However, the chap who makes them (Carl) will do a full length one to the official NASA spec if so desired!ShadownINja said:
Can't help thinking it's a Kahuna strap with the wrong watch style on it (ie non-sporty).
When you actually see the strap it couldn't be further from the truth. It's stunning quality and looks very special. Even the labeling is very authentic looking and if anything it makes the watch stand out much more as something special.Civpilot said:

Hopefully here's a wrist shot of my new Panerai PAM00233 Luminor 1950 8 days GMT - a Christmas treat to myself

Hopefully also attach shot of an interesting watch I bought some time ago - limited edition designed by a pair of Turner Prize-nominated artists. If you fly via T5 you might recognise the dial design similar to their massive art installation between the main terminal and the car park - the dial rocks clockwise and anti-clockwise as a second indicator

any tips if this still looks too small?

Use the "direct link to image" link in a set of PIC tags, like this:
Quote this message to see how. Don't forget to select a size.

thanks for that - i've got the correct image link and sizing now, but am stumped by the PIC tags
is it just inserting (PIC) at the beginning and end of the image link?
are PIC tags a PC thing, as I use Macs
apologies for my IT incompetence......

here's what you type in. The tags are the bits in square brackets.
Well, thanks to CmdrBond's heads-up, I bought one of the straps from the site he linked above, and very nice it is too. I got the "Speedy-V1" type, which was made to order, bespoke to my exact wrist size, so there are no "wraparound" issues Fits like a glove, and extremely comfortable.
A wrist shot does not do it much justice - so apologies in advance, but here's a couple of pics I took off the wrist.

Must admit, it does look very good indeed. Might even have to go and find a nice used one so can experience it myself.......and another sale for Carl from it as well, should be on commission

Seriously that is a simply delicous looking watch and for some reason that strap really works on it. I am green with envy. definetly the 'lotter win' watch for me. For the time being I am going to hope that a Chritopher Ward C5AKKR floats my boat. If it doesn't then I am going to have to save up for the Oris BC3 that I tried on Saturday (but with a leather strap as the rubber is really horrible).
Richard
thanks Commander Jameson
re-posting myself to get the hang of uploading photos
1. my new Panerai which is rarely off my wrist at the moment
2. a limited edition swatch design by some Turner Prize-nominated artists - rarely worn but thought it might be of interest
the dial incorporates acronyms for different airports around the world
