I thought you sold it, Bobbers?
No old chap, mine is never being sold, it's one of two watches I bought for my 50th, the one I advertised, which I believe is still available, is being sold by a work colleague.Edited by redrabbit on Sunday 3rd March 19:03
The buttons do dig into the back of my hand a little, but it's a cracking watch both to wear and own, quite striking either in light or dark as the lume is incredible.
It's not particularly heavy which is nice, but does have presence, and it does stand out with the colour scheme.
It keeps amazingly accurate time, and as there's no date window is very easy to read and set.
They all come in a fabulous presentation box with both the mesh bracelet and a really nice blue leather strap.
The domed AR coated sapphire crystal glass does distort at the edges slightly but this doesn't detract from being able to read the watch at all.
The hidden strap mounts are a really nice touch making the whole watch face the focus instead of lugs.
Personally I really like it.

I won't lie, it is fairly large at 46mm, but remember that I have gorilla wrists.

OK Bobbers, you've sold me! I'll PM you tomorrow when I'm (a) not wrestling with a roast chicken, and (b) sober. To ask a question, has anyone ordered from / got any recommendations for a good vendor of what is apparently termed 'dealer clocks'?
You know, the massive oversize versions of watch heads that you hang on the wall as a wall clock?
I am highly sceptical as to the genuine nature of some of them but there is one I quite fancy... lol
Any comments/recommendations much appreciated!

Forgive me Father Bobbers for I have sinned.
I have been led astray from the righteous £200 path and have had my eye turned by a brazen hussy 3 and fifty times the thread budget.
I feel uncomfortable if this thread discusses such expensive sirens so I will not post details other than the fact that it would answer my year long search as an OP for "a small green watch".
This one watch would cost more than my other six watches all together, what should I do, I ask for guidance from both Bobbers and his congregation.
Post script
Just typing this has given me an idea.......Please look at he small green watch thread about to appear and give me your thoughts, your thoughts are far more valued than the thoughts of people in "those" threads.
Cheers, Summit7 (I need to change my ID to SummitJag or No Longer at the Summit, the 7's gone and I don't do business any more let alone at the Summit)
Fear not young summit7, we are all occasionally drawn to the dark side, I myself have been persuaded to spend multiples of the hallowed, grail defining, just about right, £200 thread ceiling, all is forgiven, just don't ever do it again!!! That is excellent.
I've given that one to my old man, since I had a replacement on order. In hindsight, the simpler £30 quartz is a better option. The automatic I've replaced it with is 42mm with no bezel, so looks oversized. It's also heavy and tall. Still looks good at night though!

Mrs gave me this watch many years ago and it has spent at least three years sitting in an old wooden box with a broken strap stopped dead. Sentiment being a funny thing, it's now got a new strap, a new battery and has been back on my wrist for a week or so...the cheapo replacement parts and getting the strap altered probably cost more than the watch did all those years ago, but it's been a faithful friend...
You know you've done the right thing.redrabbit said:

In case anyone else is interested, Steeldive US have no-date 50 Fathoms models in stock. Unobtainium from UK sites for ages. They are $149-159 with $5 postage...
I'll let you know if mine turns up
Well that was quick! And it's as expected from Steeldive, apart from the surprisingly ill-matched bracelet -but 50 Fathoms are better on a strap anyway. I'm very pleased with it, it's a really nice homage.I'll let you know if mine turns up

I have a bronze Steeldive 50 fathoms on a sort of suede leather strap, it's a lovely thing.
Yes, I remember your posting it - must have been around 3 years ago? How's the patina coming along?CharlesdeGaulle said:
