What watch for every day for £10k?
Discussion
Thanks guys. Rolex is out of the equation as no matter how hard I try to like the Sub, it just doesn't do it for me - too many people I see wear them and I just don't find the design "special" or interesting enough.
AP and Hublot I do like both in terms of design. Agreed that the PP Nautilus looks rather small and slim line.
Anything else that I am missing.
The purchase would be used not new

The problem for me with the Sub is that A)too many people are wearing it, and B)it seems that SOME of those wearing it have taken out loans or HP in order to buy it so at to "pose". I know a few people on £30-40k pa wearing them and i dont feel that someone on such a basic annual earnings amount should be wearing a £5k watch. There are however guys who have been wearing it since the 70s, who bought it for the right reasons and respect to them.

Not really, you've just offened most decent people's sensibilities with a truly wkish statement.
Ok go ahead and explain to me how someone on £30k needs a £5k watch other than to pose and make himself appear more successful than he is..A responsible person on £30k pa doesn't spend £5k on a watch JagJag363 said:
Because they like watches? And are willing to cut back spending in other areas to afford a more expensive one? Much in the same way people do with cars...
OK so you live in a bedsit, take the bus, but because you like watches you save up for years and buy a Rolex..Great attitude to life - you will get far (provided the bus doesn't break down..LOL) MrBarry123 said:
Why £150k?
Looking back at your previous threads, you can't even spell Nürburgring correctly so you shouldn't be allowed to have an expensive watch.
Thicko.
Because expensive watches are for rich, successful people. Borrowing to buy a Rolex when you drive a VW means you are a moron who is trying to live a life you cant afford as you have not earned it. You don't see the Rolex advert showing a guy standing next to his VW at the chippy with his fat bird eating chips.....lol Rolex are for rich people, so if you are not, use your energy, time, and savings to get rich - then you buy a Rolex and wear it with pride. Only then do you cease being a wannabe....Looking back at your previous threads, you can't even spell Nürburgring correctly so you shouldn't be allowed to have an expensive watch.

Oh dear. A salary of £150k does not automatically make you rich and if your definition of rich is a salary of £150k, you clearly have little ability to judge on this matter.
Or are you creating this definition to make yourself feel better and justify to yourself why you consider yourself to be rich? I do however struggle to believe that someone as troll-tastic as you could earn £15k a year, let alone £150k.
I didn't say rich, I said that you need to be earning £150k plus before considering a £5k watch....pay attentionOr are you creating this definition to make yourself feel better and justify to yourself why you consider yourself to be rich? You assume that all those plebs on 30K salaries have hocked themselves for a real Rolex. Console yourself that £50 puts a credible rolex on your wrist so that must be what they're all wearing. You can relax knowing that you have the genuine article on your appendage.
Another reason then to stay well clearTheJimi said:
Thus you drew a link between being earning £150k pa and being rich.
Regardless, you're either a troll, a weaponised w@nkstain or both, and for that reason, ah'm oot.
No i didn't - i said that for a £5k watch you need to be earning £150k. I also said that expensive watches are for rich people. two separate statements that are not linked. Regardless, you're either a troll, a weaponised w@nkstain or both, and for that reason, ah'm oot.

Im confused. I have a Rolex GMT2 which I was given as a present for my 21st birthday from my parents (over 10 years ago, yikes!). I earn more than the £30-£40k but less than the required £150k.
To confuse things further I bought a Panerai a few years ago on 0% finance, as why wouldn't you use someone elses money if available for nothing...
I also bought an Omega Seamaster as a complete impluse buy from (whisper it), a pawn shop, but this time just on debit card as there was no finance incentive obviously.
So, am I a wannabe, a chav, poor, rich....???
OP, please help pigeon hole me on lifes success ladder.
So as long as something is on 0% finance it is worth buying...?? You must still be living at home with your parents LolTo confuse things further I bought a Panerai a few years ago on 0% finance, as why wouldn't you use someone elses money if available for nothing...

No, that's not what I said at all you mong. Why not leave the money in the bank if someone is willing to lend it at 0%? Makes perfect sense I'm sure to everyone else.
Living with parents??!! Ha, yeah good one! The only house of theirs I use is the one in Key Largo thanks!
I know I am feeding the troll, but had a cr@ppy day, so good fun to find someone to vent at / wind up to release a bit of steam.....
haha so you earn a lot of interest do you by keeping this imaginary money in the bank...?? You are definitely living at home as you haven't got a clue what real money earns in a bank nowadays....run along home sonny boy..lolLiving with parents??!! Ha, yeah good one!
