Oris are nice watches

I picked this up yesterday for £500 second hand.
Lovely sturdy watch, swiss made beautiful construction
also try some of the lower model Breitlings, chronomat, aerospace, steelfish, superocean.
Maybe also a Tudor, if you stretched you could get a tudor chrono for about £1400 all the presence of a daytona with a datejust price tag.
Tag heure's are in there for that sort of money as well, Omega, i just sold a Titanium seamaster for spot on £1000
Lots to choose from.
If you want some pics of some nice watches in your price rasnge or some links to some nice watches for sale in your price range (and at good prices) give me a shout, my email is dawson2k5 "at" hotmail "dot" com
Thanks,
Andrew

Sinn have a big following on here. Christopher Ward makes lovely watches...

But do you want a quartz watch? Mechanical? Open face (uncluttered), or a busy face? Skeletonised (see through), or a Chronograph? New or second hand? Vintage? Big name, or something special? Divers watch, or dress watch...

It is a bit "I want a nice car between £5000 and £10000", isn't it.

Chronograph - Yes
New or second hand? - Dont mind

something special - does not have to be a big name

No one has mentioned Seiko yet. You'll get a very good one for that money. Just one example from Fleabay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SEIKO-TITANIUM-LIMITED-EDITI...

If that type of watch floats your boat then there are thousands of that type under Seiko there. However, I agree that Sinn would be the make for me but maybe add a bit for a good chronograph. Now if you try second hand then Omega come into the picture too.

Edit: saw this on Fleabay too. Lovely watch.

You seem to like simple watches without extra dials and buttons. So do I. Just want to tell the time - I'm not a diver so time under water etc. not required by me (and not by most poeple who wear such watches I suspect).
