Was in Bakewell this afternoon an the main jeweller there- C W Sellors- has an Easter weekend sale on with huge savings on the two above brands. Naturally there are a wider range of Longines on offer than Brietling but if you are in the Peak district over the weekend and in the Market for a new piece it nay well be worth popping in.

I don't suppose there were any Longines Legends in the sale were there?

Not sure what Brietling models were in the sale (not much up on Brietling models) - there was a model in black with a black rubber strap though.

Unfortunately no legends (they have had some in recently so I wonder if they have already been snapped up). Pity, I would have been sorely tempted to stump up for a Legend Diver for £550 or so.

Longines are getting VERY pushy in what stockists now have to hold.

The jewellers Mrs F works for have been a dealer for years but have now unloaded all their Longines stock and have discontinued the brand.

Really? I may have to make a journey up there today then. How much were they going for?

ETA: Just called and apparently there was one in the sale but it's been sold. frown

Sorry very badly worded post now I read it back. I was asking if there were two. I fancy one as well

sorry to get your hopes up.

No problem smile - I thought it best to ring ahead before the journey anyway. I was only asking on here because they were a bit cagey on the phone yesterday as to which models were in the sale, although they told me a bit more when I phoned again this morning!

Bakewell tart comes from Mr Kipling. Bakewell pudding comes from Bakewell.

Somehow I suspect I won't remember that snippet of info for long.
