Old Speedmaster Value
Discussion
Hi,
First post in this forum so hello all.
I was 40 last year and intended to buy a watch to mark the occasion. In my usual way, I never got round to doing it, but have now started looking around. As I was born in 1969, I like the idea of buying a Speedmaster from that year to tie in with the landing as well.
Questions are:
1. I've seen a '69 Speedy with an 861 movement for around £1400 in decent condition. Is this a reasonable value?
2. Did they actually make them with the 321 movement in '69, or were the moon landing watches bought in earlier years?
