Is the strap option it comes with actually denim as quoted? Sounds a bit nasty.
Denim "style" as per Tudor's website, possibly the most foul looking head/strap combination I've seen in a long time. Horrid, in my opinion.I'm a bit meh about the bracelet, the retro-rivet look isn't really to my taste and would have preferred a regular oyster, and I can't quite make up my mind about the handset. Is the minute hand too thin or the hour hand too chunky? Other than that I'd say that it's Tudor's best new release, those bi-metal BBs are ghastly!
I don't get it. The crown doesn't go with the pushers, the snowflake hands obscure the chrono sub-dials, the Black Bay branding should make it a diver but it's not. Still looks like it suffers from the spring-bar holes being low down the lugs, showing off the slightly less than perfect finishing on the parts of the case normally hidden by end links - much more of an issue when this looks more appropriate on a strap than the bracelet.
And on a subjective level, the chrono sub-dials are a touch too far apart in my eyes. I'd have a Speedy over this every time. Shame, because I love my Black Bay.

I think Rolex could do more with rubber diving straps etc but some of these fabric strap chronograph case combos are a bit dodgy from a manufacturer really.

Agree with all of that. That lug-holes/exposed case height issue on a strap is one of the reasons I haven't yet pulled the trigger on a Black Bay as yet, even though I otherwise think it's an absolutely stunning watch. And on a subjective level, the chrono sub-dials are a touch too far apart in my eyes. As for the Chrono, it has a good movement, and it's not utterly hideous, but it's just proportionally not...right. The design is a bit of a mish-mash, which is a shame, as Tudor normally do well in that aspect.

I loved the watch, but i read this and thought. Hang on, he's got a point! Design is just abit all over the shop for me.And on a subjective level, the chrono sub-dials are a touch too far apart in my eyes. I'd have a Speedy over this every time. Shame, because I love my Black Bay.

I don't think the BB looks bad at all in bi metal, especially on the aged leather strap.

Edited to actually show it on the leather strap

Looks good on the NATO, never been a fan of Tudor's distressed leather, and the bi-metal bracelet along with the rivet style links is just too much.[url]

Tudor would have to use the snowflake handset as that's a BB model identifier, though the hour hand would certainly make the subdials trickier to read - though who uses the chronograph function anyway (only relevant to the RH dial, the LH is running seconds)? Any marginal loss of practicality is worth it for the look IMO, it hasn't got the same design brief as an EZM Sinn for example, and despite my previous comments about the width of the hands I hadn't twigged that the regular BBs are the same. The crown? Well it's the same as all other BBs though it surely wouldn't cost much to develop one that has the same knurling as the pushers, the older Tudor chronos with lock down pushers have matched crown/pusher knurling and so does the current Heritage Chrono.
